Lyrics can definitely weigh heavily on my enjoyment of music as well. I'm sure that's exaggeration for effect by project.
I did watch that video and I'm not sure it had the intended effect. There were a couple interesting flourishes but eight people slowly rocking back and forth on two chords for six minutes does not impress me from a technical standpoint.
That's not to say it doesn't come together in a pleasant way.
