I think it would be more accurate to say people overrate those specific artists (that's not necessarily my opinion by the way), Sputnik as a whole doesn't underrate much, the averages are universally high for most genres. I can see pop being underrated though, so its probably just that.
As for Lady Gaga I've never actually heard any of her albums but remember enjoying Paparazzi so maybe I'll check.

Yeah but in a genre like DM there are literally no albums with a 3 average (ok, I'm exaggerating) but it's so incredibly rare.
