aw man I really wish this were mixed so that the loud parts are really loud compared to the silent parts

it feels like the sound suddenly gets muted whenever it switches from acoustic to distorted

nonetheless this is a tremendous record

vox go hard, songwriting is dense, atmosphere is captured well (I've been to Barbagia, can confirm)

certainly on the list of albums I'd recommend

I also have two further recommendations for anyone who liked this album:

Ysyry Mollvün - Ysyry Mollvün : not officially released yet but it's available for streaming; Antonio Sanna (the person behind Downfall of Nur) helped with production and instrumentation on that one; somewhat similar in concept but instead of Sardinia it's set in Patagonia

Losa - Mastrucatum (EP) : actually from Sardinia, with lyrics in Sardu and featuring a cantu a tenòre vocalist (local tradition of throatsinging), sharing some members with Progenie Terrestre Pura (cosmic black) - is Fabrizio Sanna related to Antonio? A short proof-of-concept (demo?) release of an intro, two original songs, and the last song is a translated cover of Moonspell's Alma Mater.
