The ending trio is what turns this from a remarkable album to a certified classic. And then Frames is those three made into an entire album.

I remember my mum seeing the track-listing for this, giving me that knowing look and saying it sounded ‘heavy going’. I tried convincing her that songs like ‘Amputee‘ or ‘Massive Bereavement‘ were sugar-coated and summery indie-pop goodness, but unsurprisingly she remained unconvinced.

I’ve just realised the parallels that can now be drawn between the album title and review content, Johnny’s blossomed quite nicely since.

I still marginally prefer this to Frames.

''I have a solution, stop looking''

i know i know...i just want to feel again what i felt when i listened for the first time 'women who love man who love drugs' and 'Saturday morning breakfast show'. these two songs still bang even today, but that felling ...never again. Once in a lifetime experience

it's solid, but it doesn't get close to the weakest oceansize's album IMHO =x

oh man 'rinsed' is such underrated song. so serene and atmospheric.

I should probably bump this. Not many albums last 12+ years (or whatever it is now) without any diminishing returns.

It’s not like I’ve been listening to these guys constantly, but the early memories (of this one in particular) are still present and it’s a wonderful album.

@sizeofanocean not really I've owned this since at least 2015 and rated it on sput the same year but I haven't really jammed much of the other records until now.

Then try out Frames a bit more. It is less immediate than their other records, but i promise you it is the most rewarding over the time
