I'm starting to really love the song Shine On again, I might bump this album back up to a 4.5.

Except for the c from Crazy. Technically it's:

Shine On

You

Crazy

Diamond

And SYCD doesn't spell anything.

I love the Floyd, and personally this is my favourite album, so overlooked by all their other albums... DSOTM was absolutely brilliant, but everyone knows it and picks it as their favourite album, and The Wall was basically Roger Waters featuring Pink Floyd, but that's taking nothing away from them 2 albums, because both are pure brilliance.

I can sit there and listen to Wish You Were Here in it's entireity without wanting to skip anything, it's that good. I have a mate who thinks that Pink Floyd should have made their songs shorter, but I think that's what made the Floyd different, they wrote songs with massive guitar intro's that went on, and they were that good at it, you end up getting lost in the music.

Meddle is another overlooked album. Thats was the turning point... Echoes is another overlooked classic song.

As a tremendous fan of classic rock and pyschedelic music in general, I often find myself listening to Pink Floyd in hopes of figuring out what all the fuss is about. But it seems to elude me. maybe i need to listen again. This Message Edited On 04.09.06

Great album. Wish you were is my least favourite on the album, though. Overplayed, and it gets old kinda fast.

Bron-Yr-Aur- have you heard Animals? LZ III was my favorite for a long time until I really listened to Animals. Floyd's pretty hard to get into, but then you fall in love with them.

Unlike it's two bigger brother's, Wish You were here has not become overplayed, cliched or over rated. When hearing about this ablum it isn't blown out of proportion, despite the fact it carries as much emotion and some of the best instumentation to ever appear on an album, and a more than memorable ablum cover as well. This album has hard, soft and in between sounds and should be in every music collectors cd/vinyl/cassette/eight track collection.

From Gilmours soaring guitar work, to Waters lyrics and Wright's last great performance on the key boards, this album shows why Pink Floyd were beyond their era
