this is so mellow yet heavy and it's definitely their darkest album. a lot of people listen to this once, rate it, then dismiss it. it deserves more attention

Whoa, 5 stars? Its great, but not that great. 4 stars from me. I remember making out with a girl to this album when it first came out. Ahh the thrills of being young haha.

This album is bizarre for me...when I was really into Deftones (a long time ago now) I felt this album wasn't as good as White Pony, but nowadays I consider it very much superior. It has a great atmosphere, and a less annoying guitar sound haha.

Anniversary Of An Uninteresting Event is the only song that is absolutely amazing throughout. Every other song has a cool moment now and then, but also has a part that sucks. It's underwhelming overall and I don't see where the praise comes from.

Great album, I've really got into deftones lately.

The ending of "bloody cape" is one of my favorite moments on the album...its just so intense and heavy and i love the vocal sound chino makes. fantastic album....my favorite deftones release.

I really don't like that this album is so underappreciated. Everyone always says it's the worst Deftones album, and I think that's bullshit. It's so melodic, so soothing, so atmospheric, even on the heavy tracks. This is the first album of theirs that "clicked" with me when I started listening to the 'tones...in light of that, I think that's why I'll say that I'd take this album over White Pony any day.

I reckon it's one of the most underrated albums ever. Crushingly heavy, superb use of electronics, chino... need i say more. I love you chino. He'll say it back when he reads this...



When girls telephone boys, best song on the album. Watch the performance at pinkpop2006 on youtube. Best breakdown ever. They crank frank so you can hear him better. Chino even skanks to that beast of a drum beat!
