Your review wasn't specific in the least, and you really gave no insight onto how the album really was "generic." The opening track constructed a decent platform, and tracks like "Redeemer" proved this album to be a social commentary about a lack of identity among America's young generation. Don't get me wrong - the riffs are predictable at times and they certainly were lazy in tracks like "Crimson Grim." While this certainly cannot be considered a great album, MCMB became significantly tighter with it and attempted, albeit weakly, to make a statement.

By the way it's: "...we were designed for so much more than this life we're living." If you're going to shit on someone's lyrics, at least get it right.

The reason people are unsatisfied is because these lot are so derivative and they dont even do it well. Also, how the hell would anyone know what was good and what isn't if only people that like an album rate it? That is the whole purpose of an average rating.

Don't be so dramatic. Look at my rated albums. Look at my avatar. I've got absolutely nothing against metalcore. I just thought this was rubbish, even Unbreakable was better. Some of the albums I like are slated on this site, you've just gotta suck it up.

But for everyone just to sit and rate 1.5's and 2's is just ridiculous, apparently the fans don't go on this site full of very picky and articulate people. I must be an excuse or maybe i shouldn't rate/comment and get off this site.

why don't you come down off the roof and we can talk about this

I really can't see why so many people dislike MCMB THIS much. I can see the rinse-repeat cycle with Unbreakable, though I still have a sweetspot for a quite a few tracks on that album. However, in my opinion Lost Boy is a different, far more mature release. Instrumentally they haven't grown all that much, but the composition is much better and I am in love with the lyrics. I just don't see this really deserving a 1.5. At least a 3 IMO.

interesting direction these guys went in on their last couple albums. from generic christian chugcore to spoopy gothic metalcore that scared away half of their fanbase. the self titled album bangs tbh

I hate this band cuz their album art always makes me think “oh what’s this?” and then I listen to it, completely unaware of what the forgettable-ass band is

I remember hearing Terra Firma on a sampler when I first started getting into heavy music, melodic metalcore being my gateway. I think that's why I have a soft spot for this band
