It's called Sarcasm. Here:

Sarcasm from Greek σαρκασμός (sarkasmos), 'mockery, sarcasm' is sneering, jesting, or mocking at a person, situation or thing. It is strongly associated with irony, with some definitions classifying it as a type of verbal irony intended to insult or wound[1] — stating the opposite of the intended meaning, e.g. using "that's fantastic" to mean "that's awful".

It is used mostly in a humorous manner, and is expressed through vocal intonations such as over-emphasizing the actual statement or particular words. Use of sarcasm is sometimes viewed as an expression of concealed anger[2], annoyance and/or ignorance.

Fyodor Dostoyevsky defined sarcasm as "the last refuge of modest and chaste-souled people when the privacy of their soul is coarsely and intrusively invaded

haha that was fun. You really went overboard with that whole defining thing. Is this your last refuge of a modest and chaste-souled person when the privacy of your soul is coarsely and intrusively invaded?

No seriously, that was fun.

The original term for sarcasm, loosely translated, was "ripping of the flesh". Very fitting.

The album is teh rool sauce. I like it a bit more than Silent Circus, it's a little bit more melodic. The guy's scream/gargle/whatever is f*cking HORRID though. He shouldn't use it as much considering he has a great voice.

Regardless of the meaning of sarcasm, that was gay and you didn't execute well.

Strizz is right, Tommy's vocals are the weaksauce, but not so much on this album. Try listening to them on the last two, they're so forced and blughghghg.

The guitar playing is what catches my attention for the most part. The vocals work, and are usually very good, but aren't anything groundbreaking.

I don't know why, maybe the production but I like The Silent Circus alot more than this (minus shevanel, take 2). I"m also pissed that I somehow lost The Silent Circus. I'll eventually re-buy it. Alaska is a great album though. I'd still like to know what the hell Croakies and Boatshoes means.

It's a stab at jocky upper class assholes who have their lives laid out for them because their rich parents do everything for them.

I agree 100%. It sucked.

However, the album and review are great! .

Now that I've heard the production on the new album, I wish the bass was a lot louder on here.
