Seriously though this album is monumental.

Here's the reality in 5 points:
1. The people (girls AND guys) who are so in love with Aaron G. (I truly feel for you bud) that they'd probably rape him on site will not enjoy this.
2. Spencer's clean voice suits their sound better. His cleans are much less emo, and more rough and tumble then Aarons; don't even get me started on his growls.
3. This CD is much more appealing to people (ie metal purists) who wouldn't approach Underoath before because of the groups whiny nature. This is mans metal, finally. The darker grooves and growing extreme metal influences are highly welcome.
4. I'm on the can.
5. Dig this, or hate this. This marks an entirely new and enjoyable phase in UO's career!

It sounds like LITSOS with more sludge, which sounded like DTGL with less pop. This really doesn't sound like the start of a new era to me, just a continuation of a band finally finding a sound they're comfortable with.

it was a lot better than LITSOSS (which sucked) but i wish they'd change their sound more. they should decrease the metalcore parts and write more songs like Paper Lung, In Completion and Driftwood.
