Because I used to like this sound, then nobody ever changed much about it. Some of my favorite artists (ItO, ALLB) were from this scene, after all.
The latest Hail the Sun is sitting at a 4.7 for me, for reference, and has had solid critical reception across the board. There's still an audience for Swanny shenanigans; this just sounds like a hollow rehash.

Bro, new Pulses is great! The Loafers track is still the best song imo. Carson Pace Daoboyed all over the last track, and works really well with the album's sound.

i THOUGHT it was Carson daoboying all over the last track but he really just Daoboyed over the beginning, it's the pulses. guys doing the spoken word
