this has a similar vibe to some of their mid 2000's albums like mort and odinist but its got enough character that it really does feel like its own thing. ive only gone through it a few times but the quality is undeniable.

I was a bit disappointed by their last effort so I hope this one will get me back into them because I really love everything they had done before

yäs, exactly, imo their weakest albums.

MoRT is their strongest album by quite a stretch for me. It took what The Work did and deconstructed it in to one long formless soundscape, which is probably why I’m enjoying this one so much as well. Their ‘Thematic Emanation of Archetypal Multiplicity’ EP is really good too and overlooked.

Mystical Beasts of Rebellion is really underrated too, it might be the coldest album I've ever heard

I can't believe he was 15/16 when he released his two classic 90's albums lmao

this combines the best parts of TWWTG and Hallucinogen while simultaneously trimming some excess fat, delving deeper into the atmosphere, and showcasing some of the most sicknasty drumming i've heard on a black metal record. this is FUNKY.

BaN's best album.

Finally gave this a proper listen and I have to say I heard the best BAN since... MV II! This is the best thing they've done in their pioneering TWWTG style. It has the best elements of everything they've done. Deus Salutis Meae's elements too, and I really like that one. AOTY contender for sure.

Never listened to these guys, but this actually sounds like being sucked into the abyss and feasted on by lovecraftian horros
