"Drums especially are just silly, there’s no way any human can perform this with any degree of cleanliness."

Why exactly are people writing such bullshit before checking a playthrough?!

It’s obvious the drumming is quantized, pro-tooled, cleaned up or whatever to the max. Dude can probably play an approximation of what is heard on the record. The double bass on some tracks is so fast it starts blending into one note. Not humanly possible, not this clean, not this long. End of story.

Boring technical sputcore that's kinda enjoyable but thoroughly predictable.

I'd call this extremely accessible death metal. I like harsh vocals and heavy music in general already, but death metal just never really appealed to me as music to listen to for fun. But this record is damn fun. Also, my friend, who has never really dabbled in much more than your average metalcore with as many clean vocals as possible, thinks so too. These guys have a certain knack for melody that just catches you. Great record!

I dug this. After 3 spins I feel it gets a little old after the first few songs, in terms of writing. Will get back on it soon, cause it has its awesomeness side.

Pika it was kindly meant. You don't normally seem to like cheesy guitar flourishes.

But ok, sorry, lesson learned.

"gets worse after consecutive listens"

If I am listening too often, I find this to be true for most tech death. That's why I listen to the genre only a few times a year if I really think about it
