I dunno, Smash has a fair amount of punk in it still, but I thought they were also kinda riding the grunge wave a bit, like with Self Esteem and Gotta Get Away



I guess you could say they started incorporating pop punk in around Americana and Conspiracy of One, She's Got Issues and Want You Bad probably being good examples, and maybe a few bits on Ixnay with some of the goofier songs

this album is lazy as hell but I don't think it's quite as bad as the majority here. there are a few tracks I don't mind at all. just not any worse than their other weak efforts imo and has its moments

Dexter is just a shadow of itself here.He sounds like a dad coming back from work, too tired to care about his son's shenanigans, just wanting a beer and some seconds of silence.
