It's more pathetic to spend so much time shitting on music that you clearly don't enjoy

But you do you boo

Leo's drumming on this is one of the highlights imo, grooves like a mother fucker

I admit, though, reading PoS as Piece of Shit was kinda clever.

Nah, calling them Piece of Shit was really popular during the Scarsick era.

Dude, just no

It's a good album though. I can see why people really like it, but also why people don't

yeah that break is satisfying

anyway Scarsick had some really bomb tunes, but also some "eh" bits

But I think one of the funniest moments I had in gigs was on Disco Queen at a really, really, metalhead filled festival with people that were completely confused, heck maybe even offended, at the 50+ progsties dancing like idiots for a 8/9 minutes sludgey disco metal song

Disco Queen was a hilghlight when I catched them live, in 2018.

I will never not enjoy Disco Queen. Even when the album was released and I was way more of a music snob I enjoyed the hell out of it

listening to this band for the first time today morning. This is incredible so far. What other releases should I listen to by this band to get into them more?

Wow big mixed reaction to this. PoS have always been top notch musicianship so I'll listen to this soon

@Ray91: If you like this you might enjoy Scarsick and their last album, even if I personally consider them weak by the band's standards. I'd recommend The Perfect Element or Remedy Lane for some of their best work though

"Wow big mixed reaction to this"

Pretty much a standard phrase for every POS release

thanks for the rec mate m/ will check their latest as well. Just finished this and really enjoyed it. Definitely needs some repeated listens but found it pretty easy to get into when considering they are referred to as a prog band. First rating would be a 4, let's see how this will develop

If you like this, their previous album is not too different.

The general consensus is that Remedy Lane and The Perfect Element are their best. A consensus I agree with. Remedy Lane is the much more immediate album of those two so give that a go.

The previous album is way heavier and more chuggy though. If you loved the melodic parts here the most, go straight to Remedy Lane. If it's the heavier, rhythmic parts, maybe give In The Passing Light of Day a shot
