Hmm, this is solid stuff, and yet not quite there for me yet. Some of the softer parts here are beautiful and are so silky smooth you can't help but enjoy them. The heavier parts are a bit too uninspired and samey though, they don't always carry the impact they should, but still help break the monotony in a few songs.
Just a bit less melodrama in the lyrics (as well as their delivery occasionally), and more inventiveness in the heavy sections would go a long way in making this better. But it's still a fun, engaging listen for anyone who likes their core on the softer side.

Seeing these dudes tonight. The more times I spin this album the more excited I get. Super stoked to hear The Color Black and Crooked Soul along with some of their older shit. Anything from Origin will get me hyped too.
