the average should defo be higher by sput standards. seems like a certifiable 3.7 or whatever. there was too much anticipation for jeff’s voice

Maybe too many people are coming into this band for the first time with wild expectations or something but yea if you’ve heard Presents then this album shouldn’t be much of a surprise
Still bangs though and I’m happy we’ve got another album from them

Appreciate all the discussion, hope you've all enjoyed the review.
In terms of expectations, I really didn't have any going in to this. I suppose if anything I expected a vocal performance that carried some weight to some degree at the very least.

I like the music a lot but the vocals are so one dimensional.

They're too strong a contrast to the music that it runs interference to it rather than compliment it. A similar vocal delivery could work, I won't deny that, but this particular approach falls flat.
