Who thinks I should get this? I've yet to hear the band and I'm a bit intrigued.

Its good but not half as good as the hype might lead you to believe. First time I heard it, I was blown away. The next few listens through, the album wore off pretty fast. And the sung vocals are shit.

Hahaha, that's exactly how I feel about The Human Abstract's Nocturne now. Exactly.

But yeah I don't see the harm in picking this up.

I don't have a problem with these guys vocals, but THA's was waay to whiney, lucky the music bails them out.

Sorry Thor, I didn't answer your question about picking it up hahaha. I tend to go on rants sometimes. Its certainly worth the money. I do still enjoy this despite my complaints.

The insrtumentals on this album are outstanding. Pin and Dan are very talented.

Vocals are interesting as well, an accquired taste, and took me some time to get used to. I'm also reminded of Jonathan Davis from Korn occassionally. But these are far superior.

Album could have been even better with different vox.

Shame they broke up.

this album has grown on me to the point where i find no problems with it. except In This Light which was a tad bit underdone.

I love that song for that exact reason. They pound the shit out of you for 4 tracks, then show restraint. Albums is very close to a 4.5 for me.

I love this album but it's a very song for song album...whenever i get a song from this in a shuffle, i absolutely love it, but when i try to listen to the album i get bored

It's pretty much the same for all technical metal of this sort, Bland Street Boom still is amazing however no matter when it is played

Pretty sure he was just stating that. I am not sure... strangely enough, they are not listed in Encyclopaedia Metallum so I would have to dig fairly deep to find the opening lyrics.

lol you guys

I hear something like "pray for the rain" right before the song kicks in but that's all I've been able to discern. And I could be quite wrong.

This is in my top 5 favourite albums ever. Can't get enough of it. Shame I never got to see them live though.
