I already gave eight "4.5" this year, 2019 has been excellent so far

Supressing the previous review, and doing it without explaining why (at least I didn't see it announced anywhere), was a poor solution. Not to mention that for the sake of coherence why don't we just surpress all Burzum staff or emeritus related reviews since Varg was also associated with neo-nazism ?
I'm sorry but if staff wants to distance themselves with neo-facism, wich obviously I get, then exclusion and alienation is easy and counterproductive in the long run I believe. Dragging this issue into the sunlight and discussing the themes of this record, as long as the environment is not too toxic, would have been a more productive thing for this website to adress. Since I do believe it merits a place in todays conversation around the music that we cherish.

And what would those 4.5s be? Hath is the only album this year I've thought that highly of.

Luckily there's more tastes you could explore if you are willing to lol...besides Hath, I dug at comfortable 4.5 the new Inter Arma, Ceremony of Silence, Numenorean...and Warforged (which you hated ahah)...
As to this being a neo-nazist release it depends on the listener I guess (I like this review but the other gives a good perspective on that matter), so if that was the reason to delete the review it was a poor decision.

Yeah I mean if it's not true to death or black metal I probably won't listen to it. I might listen to that Warforged again but it seems the hype has died down on that one. I have a lot of catching up to do on older shit anyway. And when I do find something I really like I'll mostly jam that over and over again (Cruciamentum). That Ceremony of Silence looks interesting

Deathspell, Misthyrming, Warforged, Kampfar, Hath, Inter Arma, Aoratos, Erebos, Sinmara, Opera Magna, Nostromo
Hahah damn, guess my math isn't what it used to be, eleven "4.5", so far. I'm seeing the glass half full more than usual.

Any hype Warforged may have got, it was decimated with the rev, the counterhype it got and 1 listen rates. Agreeing that its not for every taste and it may come off as something pretentious though...still pleases me to see silent rates holding it up at 3.8. Only brought it down to 4.5 cause decided to give room to debut albums.
Cruciamentum looks bad ass af. TKS for the siderec m/ lets rock

this band is probably a bit hard to get into, but once you realize their uniqueness and the quality level of their compositions, you'll stick to them for sure

Thanks
This and Fas are also my favorites. I think the band has reached its peak with this album, sooner or later I'll 5 it. It's a modern classic, in my opinion.
