The ending of Supremacy is wild. Will make a great addition to my Halloween playlist come October. This is pretty enjoyable, gonna need to spend more time with it. I really love the short interludes and wish they were longer, or incorporated into the actual songs

I've only heard a couple records in this genre so this might sound dumb, but the vocals sound black metal-esque to me

Nah, that's a common description for them. Don't get harsh highs like this from most sludge or doom bands. It helps them stick out and was a big part of the initial appeal for me. Something about the high rasp contrasting with the filthy music is so nice.

Thou have been described as a bit of a blackened doom/sludge hybrid so there’s been some recurring black metal influences beyond the obvious vocals

Same, Treb. I like that he's mostly intelligible as well because his lyrics are consistently fantastic.

I'd say this one if you're not scared of its length (hour and ~20 minutes), otherwise I'd say going chronologically is the best thing. all of their albums are great and they just keep getting better with each release.

Yeah, it was. I happened to preorder it through Amoeba. A bit picky, I wanted one of the colored variants and I got locked out of the silver one through the label cause it sold out very quickly.

Just start with Tyrant. Everything they've done, LPs and EPs/Comps is worth hearing at least.

Need some more time with this one but first listen was really nice.

Oh word, that’s why it sold out so quick. I saw the bandcamp email a few hours late and magenta was gone. This silver pressing looks beautiful though.

@NOTINTHEFACE, I always recommend Tyrant for the first listen. Most people don’t herald it as their best (I do), but if you enjoy that album I think you’ll enjoy all their material.
