I prefer this to Dusk, but these tracks don't feel particularly creative when pitted against their older material.

Keeping Trigger and Reptilian on the tracklisting and not making Eve the closer lol

"they should do an LP worth of material filled with quick bangers like these"
so basically axe to fall until last two tracks

Hmm, I agree to an extent. Funny thing is that I think these tracks work terrifically in the context of The Dusk In Us style Converge, cause they're nice and heavy but still controlled and textured to fit in with that more tentative body of work. Problem being of course that it's hard to fit these tracks in with the full album, and if you're not a fan of the album then the tracks having a certain cohesion with it at the cost of some energy or creativity isn't gonna mean much. If any of that makes any sense haha

Eve, A Single Tear, and Wildlife should've been the first 3 tracks on Dusk. Imagine opening your album with something as epic as Eve and then going straight into Single Tear. I would've nutted.

Sorry XingKing I’ll make sure to have your tastes in mind next time I’m making a fake album playlist 😘

Dusk is way better than this. This is too short and too unmemorable. Unlike their earlier short tracks (or even latter career short tracks like "Axe to Fall") none of this seems all that special to me.

"Keeping Trigger and Reptilian on the tracklisting"
not all that strange. i too would keep the albums better tracks on there but that's just me.
|

"none of this seems all that special to me"
same. the opener is eh, the other three tracks are fun, but they wrote much better similar stuff in the past, this seems kinda uninspired. I'm still glad they put this out because that artwork is the bomb.

this sounds really boring
i use my hair to express myself

yeah i'm prob gonna delete this. album art is the best takeaway from the experience

The tracks are pretty one-dimensional and nothing they haven’t done before. They’d be better worked into a full album but they’ve definitely done better tracks in this vein.

Agreed tbh. I still dig though, I'm a simple man to please

Same, especially when it comes to Converge lol.
Gotta say though, Dusk In Us was a slight letdown even though I wouldn’t say it’s the worst Converge. Think they can do better with the next one
