Pretty sure, considering he's the only remaining member of the band that he is simply using the name for money purposes at this point.
I hope one day the original members of the band get back together to make a new album.

Ugh. Had to take this bullet on someday. Definitely not my least favorite of their work though, and "Dying In LA" is a solid closer.

Possibly better than the last album, but the recent material really should be a solo act at this point. Would love to see the whole band get back together one day and make something like their first album.

Ehhh, DoaB is... Not entirely despisable?

Hate it. Panic! And FOB seem to be having a contest for who's the biggest sellout. It's honestly a bit mindblowing how shit their latter discogs are
|

Calling Panic ans FOB sellouts is always weird to me. they've always been marketed to teenage girls and have always had pop leanings. This album sucks, but I don't see it as "selling out" in anyway. You could tell from the first album this was ultimately where Brendan would end up. Hes a showman with a knack for writing catchy hooks, of course he was gonna be a pop star.

So do we reckon he’s actually gonna do a metal album or is it too much to hope for

this is pretty good

This is not pretty good.
Doesn't help that High Hopes is in every supermarket / grocery store in town. Can't stand that song.
