I can't wait to listen to the new Rivers of Nihil album that sounds exactly like Exoplanet. :D

No, it's not nearly as wanky, I just used it because of the similarly chunky, ethereal vibe they give.

I wish Fallujah would make music like this. Maybe they'll take notice of this album while they're in the studio.

Hollow is the closest track to sounding like Fallujah minus the cleans

"I'm sorry but this is nothing like Exoplanet..."

I said it's similar to Exoplanet in the dynamic shifts between heavy and soft parts, nothing more.

"It's barely even used lol"

This is a good thing. Gimmicks like sax in metal can be overused so easily

Exoplanet is one of the few albums I fanboy over. That shit is perfect.

One of my favorite albums from last year used a sax on one song, nice small dose of a lonely sax

So far this reminds me of Fallujah in how it prioritizes atmosphere above most other things. The drum production & sax are both pretty distracting though, not gonna lie.

I bet I'll like it, I like Fallujah and Exoplanet. Jamming other shit tho, I'll get to this sooner or later

there are some similarities, though I feel Fallujah chugs harder than these guys. This has actual riffs.

To each their own, just what I caught. Maybe some Ne Obliviscaris in there, too. Maybe I need to stfu and stop making comparisons. At any rate, I'm enjoying it. Glad it doesn't sound anywhere near the 'jun' heavy album people are making it out to be.

True, I'd say Fallujah is another apt comparison. Agreed that they chug a lot more than these guys.
