The long outro in A.I. should've been a dead giveaway

The slow songs are lame (Gone, Coming Apart, Fracture), but the rest is really cool and would sound great on any of their best albums. Obviously, it's a short album, so 3 stinkers in 37min is too high, but this is still worthwhile.

Fracture isn't really a "slow" song tbh

Gee, I don't mind 'Singularity', but the Muse worship of that song might go a step too far. I can't recall which track it was, but there was a similar song on their previous LP.

^Take Me Over

though that was a complete Linkin Park ripoff instead of Muse

Hmmm. Guess I should at least hear this before the year is over.

It's not a very remarkable album, but I really like it nonetheless. I liked the t/t on this too, and the electro-pop bits on that track and several others are pretty well done imo. Suffice it to say I like this a bit more.

Good review.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.

This album is what Release the Panic wanted to be so badly.

I think DaveyBoy means Shadow and Soul, @toon. Take Me Over was the Living Things rip-off.

"Wait do you prefer Release the Panic?"

aside from 'Same Disease', yeah I find RTP to be a lot more enjoyable than this for the most part.

Does S&S sound like Muse? Idk. They nailed the bridge on that song though, don't really care for the rest of it.

it's not really a muse rip-off, just has the same vibe with the classical orchestration and chordprogressions

Just checked... Definitely Shadow and Soul.

It's also the change of voice to a higher register for the most part... It's just too obvious.

hmm, now that I think about it it does sound like Muse. Not a whole lot though.
