They definitely have their sound down, I'll give them that.

No kidding--No surprise they are on the 4AD Label themselves.

I really hope they continue doing their thing and developing their sound, instead of diverting into some electronic weird shit.

not that i have a problem with rock bands crossing into electronic, some do it really well. but it seems to be the direction too many indie bands take when they want to start "experimenting."

Yeah that's what I wanted to say Adolf. Really in love with this album.

Before the Storm album is so lovely. As someone who doesn't like the singer's voice (but always listened for the instrumental composition behind it), a mostly-instrumental album was very welcome.

I'm not a fan of Life is Strange, but I can get behind this soundtrack, so beautiful. Do you enjoy what little vocals of hers are on this one, Minty?
|

i think the vocals on the soundtrack are perfect for breaking up the instrumentals a bit and adding variety and markers for your progression through the listen. i love burn it down too. i dont like how she sings at all never have and never will. its that "quirky" indie folk style that you get on every fucking advert (in the uk at least). even back when dianna vickers did it i was like "im sick of this affected style now". it hasnt been unique in years. but i like their songs in spite of the vocal style. and as i said the vocals dont ruin anything because theyre necessary to form the shape of the music and add variety.

The soundtrack album is indeed very good, but I can't get over how good is New Ways. What a song.
