that drop in Resonate is GOAT

Listening to this for the first time and it definitely rules but that spoken word in Choke is absolute garbage.

i get what he's going for with it. it's not executed particularly well compared to Burn and Drown imo. still love the breakdown though.

'i love whatever's going on between the main riff and melodies in burn, like it sounds "winding" or something and I really fucking dig it'
ya its like the riffs bring the song full circle. plus it leads perfectly into tragedy

It Prevails new record takes diarrhea shits all over this new one from Counterparts..the guitars sound so bland on this. If you're looking for amazing Melodic Hardcore from the year 2015. It prevails' new one is WAAAYYYY Better than this

All of their albums are distinct enough for me. Older stuff is more chunky, newer stuff is more open and flow-y.

Counterparts has been regressing since "The Diffrence Between Hell and Home", but "The Current Will Carry Us" was their best album IMHO but TWFU is a dissapointing piece. Not a single stand-out song.

Have had this one spinning a lot lately and idk if I've ever had an album resonate more lyrically than this one, Stranger especially really hits home. This album has such a nice mesh of the early Metalcore and Melodic Hardcore styles to it, gives me some older Hopesfall and Taken vibes at times. Due to the member changes It's not as technical true, but the mood of the music matches with the desperate vocals/lyrics quite well.
