Yeah, this is holding up for the long haul I'd say. The vox still get me.

There's a new split with Selvans streaming on IO. you guys might dig this : http://www.invisibleoranges.com/selvans-downfall-of-nur-split-album-premiere/

The intro and outro are collab tracks and the whole thing as a theme, which is differs from usual b-sides and leftover tracks of regular splits

Welp, I thoroughly enjoyed that. Selvans side still has that same forest folky, flute bombarding, atmospheric melodic black metal edge to it, but the DoN song treads into new territory for them. The midway breakdown with cello, and unexpected drum patterns works well, and the song still has that crazy sounding ?bagpipe? and overall great buildup that they craft so well. The intro/outro by both respective bands are perfect, and that album cover is one of the best I've seen all year. Good stuff.

I know it's pretty cliché to say, but the Selvan's side had a kind of Agalloch-goes atmoblack kinda feel (especially because of the melodies) with thin-wistles/flutes à-la Saor which ruled.

Currently jamming DoN's side (never listened to Umbras) and it rules just like Dungeon says. That middle part as this amazing neofolk meets world-music vibe that just works somehow

The second half of 'The Downfall of Nur' has got to be one of the most beautiful cuts of music from the entire genre. Those strings are just stunning

'As most of you already know, this project has become into a catharsis (maybe it's always been) so right now I'm in the studio working on a new album.'
