"Also band was never bad, their material is pretty much the same as the Beatles early material, eventually 1D will start expanding musically same as the Beatles did and then future generations of Sputnik / the world will most likely view them as the British Boy Band revival (since that's what the Beatles were, a British Boy Band)"
This comment is gold

Except for the fact that The Beatles always wrote their own songs, knew how to play instruments, and weren't a boy band, just a popular rock band.
Now The Monkees are a different story.
|
| |
yet the beatles were still pretty much a boy band from 1960-64

"The Beatles always wrote their own songs, knew how to play instruments, and weren't a boy band"
Well, properly speaking they definitely were a boy band, but it depends on your definition of the term. What's funny about that comment was more the "eventually 1D will start expanding musically same as the Beatles did" part
|
| |
What makes The Beatles more of a boyband than The Doors or The Kinks?
Also according to Wikipedia:
A boy band (or boyband) is loosely defined as a vocal group consisting of young male singers, usually in their teenage years or in their twenties at the time of formation.[1] Being vocal groups, most boy band members do not play musical instruments, either in recording sessions or on stage, making the term something of a misnomer. However, exceptions do exist. Most boy bands dance as well as sing, usually giving highly choreographed performances.

weren't the beatles forced to stick to a look for five years by their management and label in order to appeal to their demographic?
you know what else is exactly like that? boy bands.

Album Rating: 2.5
"eventually 1D will start expanding musically same as the Beatles did"
could be worse, it could've been the Jonas Brothers

Well some of the sentiments too:
"It’s a tradition dating back to The Beatles. Before One Direction it was Justin Bieber, before him it was the Jonas Brothers,
before them it was N*SYNC or it was the Backstreet Boys or it was the New Kids on the Block. But this vehement hatred isn’t
just predictable, it’s lazy."
For the record I don't think at all that this is a bad review but it relies too heavily on bold statements to get its point across.
