"I meant 'fun' in that it's really enjoyable for this kind of music without being intense about it, kinda feels laid back"

Exactly what I meant. As fierce as it is. Its not overwhelming. Its just ridiculously awesome and fun to listen too. Stellar

If it wasn't for an album called The Path of Apotheosis, I would have had this my #1 for the year. Every song is great, surprisingly catchy, heavy as it is funny, awesome riffs, etc. Always in the rotation.

I still have to listen to all of this. Just jammed a track and it was killer.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ro4N0hk3rVc - New Slugdge track! The riff at 4:10 could possibly already be contender for riff of the year.

If there is a new Slugdge album this year, there's a 100% chance I'll review it.

I'd probably give it a crack as well, though you would do a better job! I think there's supposed to be, I do hope so!

Listening to the new track right now. Seems pretty cool albeit very similar to the stuff on Gastronomicon

Yeah I have to agree with spiritcrusher, that riff was not that mindblowing. Slimewave Zero's main riff however... holy shit

Probably was the same sort of technique used in Lethargica at THAT breakdown, what with the long quiet bit and everything. Yeah, Slimewave's main riff is the shit, though there's one about the 5 minute mark in Gastronomicon which I think beats it.

its astonishing how the songs and their sound really make me picture a giant slug-overlord-monster is rising form an abyss in space, coming to erase humanity.
