The fact that it's not so heavy, fast and aggressive but rather experimental and rythmic is exactly what makes it so specia to mel.

Yeah this guys had and still have to an extent an exuberance and eccentricity that sets them apart from the flock. Also the debut thrashes like crazy so who cares if they moved away from that (which isn't even that true, Act III is quite soft for them)

there is nothing that this album does better than extravasation (and this applies to any death angel since the debut too)

not speed, not intensity, and certainly not complexity in composition

Song writing. That's what this does better than Aspid. That's far more important to me than speed and complexity in composition.

(obviously I don't mean lyrics)

and extravasation destroys any 90s+ death angel in that department, just like it does most of thrash

Well we'll definitely have to agree to disagree there with regards to Act III.

and lol obvs KILL knows thrash better than me, why would I even pretend to know the genre better than him? We just have differences in opinion.

I don't really know much about you and your thrash taste tbh.

Isn't it about personale taste afterall? Like why would I bother about "complexity", speed, intensity and bla bla bla.

I've always prefered very rythmic and melodic thrash over those that got the fastest and heaviest riffs and the loudest screaming singer.

Always find it funny how people profile themselves over the music they listen to.

Frolic is also good but this one rips it imo.
