Well PFM, Banco and Le Orme all represent the Big Three of the RPI

If someone is interested, the famous prog band Elio e Le Storie Tese released a song that's a re-work of a tune Francesco Di Giacomo, Banco's singer that died 2 years ago, recorded with a friend. The story behind is pretty great but I only have Italian sources - practically he wrote the tune on the back of a blanket while dining and seeing on the news that "intelligent bombs" failed and hit hospitals in Baghdad instead of the right target.

Lyrics are written as if it were a nursery rhyme, recalling an Area tune from the CRAC Album (La mela di Odessa) and the song has two amazing solos, with the latter being a splendid Violin solo by Mauro Pagani (from PFM).

Probably the best tune of the year IMHO. Hard to top. A gift that commemorates both one of the best singers Italy has ever had and a celebration of all good things about RPI.

They were incredible. They played an instrumental version of 750'000 because (I think) the new singer can't reach those notes.

Also, Nocenzi tried to re-invent humor by sharing some top-tier cringy boomer puns, occasionally repeating his jokes multiple times in case somebody couldn't hear them (nobody was laughing). Kind of a surreal experience, I didn't expect that from a prog band, but the music was top notch, they basically played everything from the first three albums. I'm so glad that I was able to see them at least once.

Cool, apart the Boomerism sounds like a very nice expirience.
