id say lyrically lost ground is better but musically this is. If that gives any indication Craig.

I actually thought Lost Ground was very musically diverse or a fucking hardcore album. "The Bite and Sting" had that awesome bass/guitar line its been in my head for days. The last song had a HORRIBLY placed blues solo in it though. annoyed me to no end

Yeah Lost Ground trailed a lot into post-hardcore and other genres.

I agree with a lot of this, except that I thought Lost Ground was lyrically brilliant and really vivid.

and I dunno if a 2 really is deserving considering how good the rhythm section is

The music alone on this album makes it deserving of a 3, and I don't think that lyrics as as bad as you describe, but they're definitely not as good as some others cry about. Great review, tho.

I liked the album loads at first but I seriously can't think of any reason why I'd want to listen to it again. No replay value at all.

Album is really good. I checked this band out for the hell of it. No gimmick for me, they are awesome. Songs are written really well.

Acoustic tracks level out the album after such a dramatic end.

I disagree with this, especially with Lost Ground being a step down. I feel it was the best release by them.

However, this is is a pos indeed.
