I'm listening to it right now. Its obscure in the sense that it pertains to a lot of their old style, whilst sounding nothing like it at all.
Guitars made substantial strides in their improvements, vocals sound a LOT different... did Connor Woods do vocals on their LP by chance? I thought he only did the EPs/Demos. Vocals sound completely different. Though, this isn't bad, they sound more blackmetalfagjizz.

This album would be something like a 3.7 if i could rate it like that, but i just can't bring myself to give it a 4. What Hell Awaits Me is definitely the best track on here.
The vocals are superb though, i love a nice high pitched, clean scream.

Yeah the vocals have always been a strong point of this band. Some people didn't like them though because they "sound too much like Dani Filth." Even if that's true, they still rule.

I'm quite sure Connor did them on the EPs... unless he was only a live vocalist? Regardless. I think I prefer the style from "In the Shadow...", but thats not to say these aren't brilliant in their own manner. They pertain more heavily to the more 'pure' Black Metal styling. But hey, I don't even have 200 post yet, so I'm a faggot still.
