I subjected myself to it 5 times and listened to it all the way through each time, not counting relistening to certain tracks. It ripped off In Flames style because most of In Flames work has a similar composition. In that song there is a keyboard that runs in and out of it at parts that reminds me Scar Symmetry. Just because a breakdown has some melodic runs over it, it's still a breakdown.
I understand that you like the album and I don't think I ever criticized people for it. In fact I said that I can understand why people would like it. I'm just explaining why I didn't. If you feel so compelled to rebut what I think about it why dont you write a review.

In Atreyu's defense, many if not most of all Metalcore/Melodeath are going to rip off In Flames style. They are the forefathers of melodic death metal

I totally understand that pretty much every modern metalcore cd is gonna have some influence from In Flames but Stop!... did it more so. It actually sounded deliberate.

Album was so so on first listen, need to listen to it more before rating (Lead Sails grew on me so I'll still give this a chance).

Im listening to this, and I really liked the first two songs, but after that it really gets mediocre...Its not the music too, because there are some good guitar parts, but the song writeing is so forced for poppy choruses.
