For me it's:

Metallica

Megadeth/Anthrax tied

Slayer

Metallica are honestly my least favorite of the 4, and thats not because they're the most popular, I just genuinely dont like them as much as the others

metallica has a lot of sentimental value for me

I never liked Slayer as much as the others. I just think their "let's play fast and have evil twisted lyrics" thing was done way better by Kreator, despite Kreator not having as much of the punk influence

I like Metallica, and their first 3 albums are very consistent, but I generally consider 'Deth and 'Thrax to have been superior musicians in general. Although no one could play bass like ol' Cliff.

anthrax is probably the least talented band of the lot imo

That's odd cause with the exception of Lombardo, Benante is far and away the best drummer, and I don't think James, Dave or Tom could touch ol Belladona in the vox department.

Frank is at least as good as Araya and only marginally less boss than Elfman, Burton/Newsted.

Bello's easily a better bassist than Ellefson imo.

Also, Benante destroys Lars.

And Belladonna was far and away the best vocalist of the 4.

The guitarists pretty much depend on the taste of the listener, although I would give Anthrax a 1 to a .5 deduction in that regard.

'Deth easily had the best leads, followed by Anthrax. Slayer has some nice leads here and there, and I'm not a fan of Kirk's soloing, imo he is very overrated.

You're right, Dany rules, but even tho I enjoy the leads he does better, Kirk is technically a better guitarist.

To each their own I guess. You're a cool dude Inbred, so I won't push my point.

of course were talking about four different and great bands, which played different kinds of thrash, and i must agree that belladona is the best singer objectively

Totally dig Frank's bass on here. Very crisp and clear sounding...
