yeah exactly with you. it's very good but it's not fantastic. like a handful of songs a bunch. they trend towards the more upbeat power poppy stuff

Yeah his weakest album but still contains some of his best material. Actually, XO might be his weakest, come to think of it, Idk they're close

I think this one is a bit all over the place, XO fades away a bit on the second half I'd say is the biggest weakness with that one.



The middle stretch of this is not my favourite...in fact it is maybe my least favourite Smith run (otherwise probably a stretch of 'Basement'). 'LA' to 'Pretty Mary K' is patchy, I like the verses of 'Happiness' a lot though.

Hm, the weaker stretch starts at “Easy Way Out” for me but the last few tracks (well, excluding “Bye” which is just kind of there) make up for it.
