Hooker is an amazing song, shit rocks so hard.

I still feel like I can't really rate Tool albums. They were my favorite band for years and my high school self would 5 basically everything they did. Not I feel like I can't really judge them though considering I've put them down and not listened to them for years, save for a couple weeks last summer.

yeah they were my fav band right after HS, then I quit listening to them for at least 7 or 8 years. til I jammed AEnima a few days ago it had honestly been almost a decade since I had heard even a song from Tool.



jammed their entire discog this week, and it brought me back to how much I loved them back when. and the crazy thing is, after jamming their discog and sitting on it for a while, I think I love them even more now than I did then. it's like a best friend - you could not speak for 5 years and then you get together w/ your best friend again and it's like you just hung out the night before

I know what you mean. When I do listen to them, I really love the music. I guess the mood to listen to them doesn't strike me very often, whereas before it didn't matter my mood, I was always down to jam some Tool. I think I kind of exhausted myself of them a bit.

I really should just come to terms with it and 5 Lateralus, Undertow, and this - probably 4.5 everything else - but can't bring myself to do it yet.

Ooh really do love their No Quarter cover too. Possibly my favorite Zep song and they do it justice.

Used to love jamming to that with my high school bandmates.
