Yea believe me I've thought about it but I haven't listened to this in a while and idk if this is even a 5 anymore :/ gotta listen again. Along the road maybe, but not now. Still, I'm surprised not even a staffer.

Third Eye is one of the best songs they ever wrote, the last four minutes are transcendental.

Third Eye's up there but my favourite is Pushit.

Same thing with Undertow. Don't know if that's even a 4.5 anymore haha. I will always know where Lateralus and 10,000 Days stands but those two I'll have to listen again and adjust them.

Undertow is fantastic but it's not above 4/5: a lot of it drags, plenty of unnecessary filler like 10K Days, the ending "epic" isn't really an epic at all but mostly nonsense after the funny skit at the beginning. 10K Days is clearly superior, with some of the best guitar work the band ever created, which is saying a lot. The filler on here at least seems to fit with the overall album, even if most of it is pointless to listen to, still has 1 hour+ of amazing real music. The filler argument exists for all their albums really, except, Lateralus, which will always be their crowning achievement.

Aenima is the only album where everything perfectly aligns for Tool - balance of raw attitude and technical chops.
It's still only a 3.5/5 because it drags and repeats itself, but it's the best Tool by far. After this they just sound so glossy and go to town on the new age mumbo jumbo.
