I very seldom like ballads, but Here Come The Tears is pretty damn solid

the riff + drums that play underneath the guitar solo in Raw Deal is just incredible

Agreed. Phillips kills it in that song

The second half is probably one of Halford's strongest moments

Woa, this rules.

Maybe not so hot take: Last Rose of Summer is one of favorite tracks here

'76-'78 was the band's peak. Holy trinity right there

Is it a bad sign when one of their holy trinity albums is just a 4.0?

I feel like the only one that ever gets mentioned in that context is Dissident Aggressor. They played Sinner, Diamonds & Rust and Starbreaker quite a bit over the years, the rest is hardly ever discussed.

Personally, I think Raw Deal's depiction of a sexual encounter at a gay bar to be fucking amazing, and really ahead of its time.

The second half of Raw Deal is one of the best moments by the band. Don't know why the song has received no love for so long

Let Us Prey / Call for the Priest is essential metal for sure too, double bass for days. Phillips is the man
