suppatime i was there too!

what i find funny is people love this guys live (for good reason, they sound awesome), but one of the biggest criticisms of mastodon is that they barely move while playing, and they move a lot more than gojira haha

True, don't forget Mastodon's live vocals are also hit or miss. Joe always sounds top notch from what I know

I worship Mastodon and freely admit that they're mostly miss. Fortunately you generally can't tell the difference when you're actually at the show.

The Enigma is a great painting by Gustave Dore.

yoooooo robot that show was sick. so stacked lol i was pumped about it for so long. opeth played sort of a lame set though imo. it was alright but... too much new shit which i'm not a fan of.

I'm afraid to see Opeth again for fear that the last 4 albums will dominate the setlist.

I saw them on the 11th, here is the setlist:

Sorceress

Ghost of Perdition

Demon of the Fall

The Wilde Flowers

In My Time of Need

The Devils Orchard

Cusp of Eternity

Heir Apparent

Era

Deliverance

It was a pretty sweet set and I didn't expect it at all.

I mean, I just wanna see Harlequin Forest live once. That may be too much to ask, now.

At least there's a sweet live version in HD...

Unfortunately we can't show how elite we are when headbanging in beat to that outro.

yeah they cut in my time of need and heir apparent when i saw them so only three songs off non-recent albums. ghost of perdition and deliverance were sick tho

Holy shit why did I ignore this one? L'Enfant Savage angered me so much years ago. Can't even remember why. When it came out I thought it was uninspired, I think.

So when this one came out, I heard some singles from this and then ignored it.

I'm 2 tracks in and it's gorgeous and passionate and melodic and I love it.
