Record was surprisingly decent, I thought it would be very boring based on the singles. I do however dislike the boring production. It really takes the energy out of this record.



Also, I really cannot fathom how horribly bad I perceive the vocals from the Rotting Christ front man, damn they sound fucking terrible imo... Maybe just not my style but it sounds like they invited their 8 year old lil bro to do guest vocals lmfao

holy cow this is good. combines the best elements of Winters gate and Heart Like a Grave. I need to listen to this a few more times but I'm blown away. Godforsaken and Starless paths seem to be everything you could want from modern insomnia.

Niilo talked about writing credits, so, if I remember correctly, he (together with Jani) wrote Starless Paths, Ville wrote Lilian and the title song, Jani wrote The Unrest. The rest are Markus' songs. Niilo also wrote title song from EP.

Well, that was a surprise, I was kinda expecting a meh album but it turns out to be pretty solid in general. I love Starless Path, title track and The Rapids. I need to listen to it a second time but for now it seems like around a 4 for me.

I found a way to listen to Starless Path last night after all of the talk in this thread, and yeah it's a very good song. No idea why they didn't use it as a single seeing that they used Pale Morning Star as a single on the previous, and it is bringing back similar vibes in the best way. Looking forward to giving this a full spin today after hearing that one track. I was a big fan of both Heart Like a Grave and even Argent Moon, so i'm hoping this continues to impress in their latter years
