Arch Enemy by the numbers is a pretty ok thing to me, although I know not all will agree with me. This is looking like a flat 3 so far. Melodeath this safe always causes me to listen to heavier shit though.

I was wrong, a little too much cheese for a 3.

Alissa is definitely the highlight on here. I do have to agree that the riffs and melodies are still a bit too cheesy and stale on here which was even more of a pronounced problem on the last AE album.

Cheers Dewinged. I just put one out seeing it could go by unreviewed. Agree with a lot of comments, cheese, needs more loomis, enjoyable etc. Each song is quite varied to keep the attention which I reckon they really thought through

Yes! Dk TankTheTech but that enthusiasm is infectious. Reaction videos are hilarious.

That's it, it's a fun entertaining record

Just recently stumbled across Tank’s channel. I’ve been enjoying his stuff. People like to shit on reaction videos but it’s a guilty pleasure of mine. I watch way too many. I just love music. I like watching other people enjoy the same music because god knows I only know a couple of people in real life that like the same music I do and they’re long distance at this point.

Charismatic Voice just did a 2+ hour interview with Alissa that was fairly fun. I had it on in the background at work yesterday, and found it worth at least a partially attentive listen. ;)

My wife has declared she loves this album, so it looks like I am stuck listening to it for a while, at least when we are tooling around in the car. I like a fair amount of the tracks, also.

Tell that to the guy she hip-checked in the pit at the last DT show. Poor kid ended up launched into the backs of the people near the front. It's OK, at least she apologized after the show... I mean, that's what the pit is for, yea?

It is slightly better than their last album but still so goddamn derivative to the point it just becomes irritating after a while.

I had written them off too after the last one but this has different songs and not derivative to my ears. Still their DNA all over it but each song has its merits
