I've actually heard this a lot over this past weekend. Been doing a lot of driving with my girlfriend because we were visiting family, which is a couple hours away - kept going back and forth between Cannibal Corpse/Corpsegrinders new album when I was in control and this album when she was driving lol

There’s the push and pull here, push that it’s energetic and lively and some cool tunes, I really dig bite me
The pull back though is even though it’s a hark back and for the old fans there’s something weird about a near 40 year old having that ‘bite me’ attitude. Maybe however I’m being ageist?
Dunno, I think it’s pretty good but agree it’s a bit too samey and 2000s sounding and yeah because I don’t feel the lyrics and that attitude is genuine anymore, It feels too contrived.
But… it’s still not too bad an album.
