'This is blistering. Not what I’d imagine to be basic in most measures.'

idk it could progress / divert off track to some more interesting places at times. There's a lot of repetition (which I guess is a staple of the wider genre), it works for me to a point yet I am sometimes wondering when certain segments will end. The drums could certainly provide more. Anyway, apart from a touch of ye ol' paganisms (?) it's somewhat standard wave-2 drenched BM... no?

However I am seeing an 'emoviolence' tag on RYM, which is unexpected. Which particular element is influenced by that then?

There definitely be some good riffing here, unfortunately they hammer home said riffs for eternity. All I can remember about this album is that one repeated riff, you know the one. Catchy as hell, but also annoying when it's playing by itself in your head.

Yes I just made a 'catchiness can be bad' argument, lol?

Man, that opening riff goes from so good to so repetitively obnoxious.

I feel like that's the theme of this album. A bunch of cool riffs that get beaten into the ground.

No apparently there’s a leak which I’m definitely not listening to. I mean it’s hard but I have principles (maybe… well actually I’m just weird, listen if you want and are planning on ordering it anyway).
