@wildinferno2010

are you a Deafheaven fan? Are you looking for metal? Are you Johnny?

if not any, you'll like it or not with no pressure.

Yeah, and I'd prefer if it was good ;)

Two tracks in and the vocals aren't as bad as I remember from the singles, maybe I will like this

Guitars on Lament for Wasps are pre delightful, specially on second half. Unless of course Johnny has something completely wrecking to say about them.

lament for wasps' 2nd half sounds like it was transplanted from an envy album, not a foo fighters album

so ig it's better

This album was always gonna be an uphill battle for me because it’s basically the band basically admitting that they have no idea what to do with the sound they’ve pioneered. Honestly glad they went with clean singing as the vocals on their previous albums were easily my least favorite part. Yeah this is easily my favorite record if theirs, turns out they make for a pretty good shoegaze band.

can't say I agree. it very much still sounds like deafheaven to me, except with clean singing and no blastbeats.

First three tracks is my favorite three song run from these guys, what a way to start the record.

I get faint Vaura and Melting Sun by Lantlos vibes, but this very much sounds like Deafheaven above anything else. Their best for me.

Yeah the chart rules. Whenever you see a chart like that you just gotta give it a listen
