There's nothing like a nice page break ;)

true, this was just like a self uncompromising note tho lolol

I only got to their last record a couple of months ago and it quicly became my favorite from them. Last month I find out they're releasing another one and on the first 2 songs Lindberg sounds atrocious. Not even bad-good, just bad. Should I give it a chance anyway or is this non-pertinent?

I believe you've already made up your mind.

Last half minute of the title track absolutely kills it

this was pretty good, need to re-spin

This has cool moments and I gotta respect a band experimenting this far into their career but I definitely prefer more meat and potatoes ATG
|
| |
Am I missing something when people say the band experimented on this album? I feel like you could take pretty much any song here and drop it into their previous album and I wouldn't notice the difference.

Man I gave this a spin after all, this shit's really on point. Very interesting.
Phil, I wouldn't agree with that at all, to me all od their albums have a pretty distinct sound, this one included

maybe i will listen to this

Honestly the vocals and production were always iffy for me for the majority of this band's career. The production here is great, but the vocals are at an all time low, if you can get past that, it's pretty great. I still prefer To Drink... even tho the production on that one was beyond atrocious

Pretty progressive sounding but it is rather cool I must admit.

The vocals are clearly the weak point here

Definitely less 'immediate' than their other two comeback albums (which I really quite enjoy), but that's not necessarily a bad thing - just might take me a little while to get into this record. Love ATG so they have enough in the bank for me to give this a proper shot. Have to agree that Lindberg sounds like he's on his way out here - one of my favourite metal vocalists ever, but this isn't a particularly strong performance.
Also, did they just get saxual on Garden of Cyrus!?
