Gotta love a good ol' Zak rant

This is solid btw, for sure better than their last but probably not quite as good as their other reunion albums

J just rolls out of bed and writes these catchy jams. Another winner from the Dinos.
Such a seemingly basic band on the surface that really packs an emotional punch.
I see where you're going with the noise-pop tag.

With the first three that is. Obviously once Green Mind hit, the noise-pop/rock/whatever tag was out the window.

i definitely prefer Give a Glimpse
this is my least favourite of all their records pre and post-reunion but i still really like it! it leaked in January and i havent really stopped listening to it since. Dino can do no wrong! also shout-out to Lou for his two tracks (Garden is so wonderful)

I checked out farm and you're living all over me recently and was bored to tears. Only thing I've heard from here is i ran away, which has been stuck in my head for weeks now. Might check this out

Anyone who thinks Where You Been is best has a 90s soul.
I bow.

These guys always have the best artwork but I can never get into the music

Probably not enough noise pop for your taste sowing.

Generation X is dead.

unpopular opinion but I think their earlier records sound like trash and that they have gotten better as a band in their later career. The records from 2009 onwards are their best stuff.

Are you a Rush fan or something?
The energy on them first few Dino records harness everything about adolescent teen despondency and are absolute classics for what they are.

Try Where You Been. I think it's their most accessible. Beyond and I Bet on Sky can work too. Songs like "Get Me", "Been There All the Time", "We're Not Alone" and "Watch the Corners" are all damn catchy.
I see a lot of people don't get the first three records and those people are WRONG but to be fair I think the appeal of those records is very particular (as opposed to universal) so a lot of people just won't get it. It's a unique intersection of punk, alt/indie, hardcore/post-hardcore, noise, classic songwriting, guitar heroics, country, the '60s, the '80s; just a whole lot of different elements seamlessly melded together into a singular, cohesive sound. When I was really young I tried to get into early Dino and failed, but then one day I was just sitting around not listening to Dino and suddenly realised they were exactly what I needed to be listening to.
