My favorite is O Camino, but arguments can be made for every single record of theirs (even Deixademe)

i agree. All of their albums are fantastic, but go with O Camino. It's one of the most ethereal and inspiring records you'll ever hear.

Don't forget Lembranzas. It's a compilation of singles and splits, but all of it is excellent

Is there an AndalucĂan equivalent?

maybe Dewinged can help you with that...

I'd love to share 2 Portuguese folk outputs, while we're in this vibe, sometimes they sound similar, both way older but masterpieces on my view:

Fausto - Por Este Rio Acima

Jose Afonso - Venham Mais Cinco/ Cancoes do Maio

It would be fun if some of you check one or both :D

uuuuh, apparently I ruined the thread...

well if you dig brilliant folk pieces check the colab Bell Witch and Aerial Ruin, from this year, and approach it as such.

@ Phoenix

My knowledge of AndalucĂan folk is limited, but I do know a couple of Asturian folk bands that are 'somewhat' similar to Sangre de Muerdago. These bands - Llan de Cubel, Felpeyu, Beleno, Corquieu - are lacking Sangre's typical dark folk vibe, and are probably best described as more upbeat, playful and uplifting. Still brilliant stuff, and well worth your time if you're in the mood.
