"I think according to him, any band that's christian or anyone who identifies as such is automatically a Trump supporter."
more like the Armstrongs have openly stated their support for him complete with MAGA hashtags but sure whatever you say fuckwit

I'm not sure I like this album, but not in the same way that I disliked Release the Panic. Michael's vocals sound very strange.

Had to post a 5 for this, the mixing and production aren't nearly as important to me as it is to some of yall. OBAR and Declaration are both 5.0's IMO, fantastic album to start off their independent careers and I think they only go up from here. Not sure how some can listen to Infidel, Cauterize, and Sever and give this album

flabbergasted to see this band getting sputnik love, thought they were one of the million faceless Christian alt-rock bands that have been on life support since the mid 2000s

They are the best of the bunch though. If "alt rock" even applies to them.

nah they had something special in the first two albums but they've consistently been trying to ruin what they had in between releases.

Cauterize is fantastic, best song on here by far. Solid album though.

Mostly Red by the numbers, guys. Better than middling albums like Gone, Panic, and Faces, but clearly not as inspired as Beauty, Innocence and Silence.
Sure it's overall their heaviest, but Red is using the same tricks and the lyrics are still the same meaningless cliches scrambled in different permutations. Maybe fans are content with consistency, but I need a drastic change to be impressed.
That said, I liked the song "Victim." It mixes their better attributes with faster pace and the lyrics were for once interesting. "Only Fight" was also quite a switch up, reminding more of Deftones or Nine Inch Nails than their usual sound.

I mean, there was change with Gone. And we can all see how that turned out...

Im down with this direction but agreed he could put more thought into his lyrics

When I first heard them 15 years ago or however long it has been I swear they went by "drop of red" or just "red" for short but I don't see anything on their wiki page mentioning that maybe I'm just crazy.
Either way I don't think the band name has anything to do with a political party lmfao

Ngl the guitar tone on here is ass
