Are you a Kubrick fan? If you're familiar with Eyes Wide Shut, you can watch the video for the first track and get a feel for the overall aesthetic and vision. Essentially jazz reflecting the high society of New York and black metal representing the urban decay of the city. Lots of Eyes Wide Shut and Metropolis influence to their aesthetic. That's what helped me get behind the band.

first track made me think of contemporary classical rather than "jazz" but i guess they lean on each other a whole lot
in metal circles there's a pretty low success rate when someone says a piece of music is jazzy as to whether it has any jazz in it or not
