I mean I wouldn't lump this together with Unleashing My Demons but yeah, that song is solid imo, certainly a shitload better than the one they decided to put after it.

They went full full All that Remains and abandoned all that made them cool.

I’m really enjoying it and I’m someone who definitely didn’t love Ire, they’ve taken the sound of that album and pushed it into a much more cohesive sound. This is their Sempiternal though probably not as good as that record.
Truth is most metalcore/deathcore bands absolutely fail when they try to push their own sound outside of their genre and while this album certainly has its flaws I can promise that up to 90% of ‘core’ band’s couldn’t pull this change of sound off. This is the kind of album Suicide Silence wish they could’ve put out.
I’d probably rate it a 3.5

It's interesting how the general consensus seems to differ so much from site to site.
Their highest user-rated album on AllMusic is Ire lol

that might change with this album, it only has 6 votes compared to Ire's 78

After that review it just might happen. 4.5 average on this, imagine that

Killing With a Smile was fantastic, as was Horizons. I haven't heard Ire or this but I don't really want to in all honesty. Seems the band have lost their edge.

As a long time fan of the band, Ire was a HUGE disappointment. I had hoped they would 'return to form' with this album but of the couple of tracks I've heard and seeing reviews like this, I won't be going near this shit.

Not sure what makes Chronos so special. Its garbage just like the rest of the songs, only its 6 minutes of garbage. [2]
Even without comparing this to their earlier material this would be shit

Shadow Boxing made me physically cringe. What the fuck were they thinking with the rap bits? Winston’s whisper screaming does this no justice either... Chronos and Wishing Wells are the only listenable songs.

but wait, why did this get unfeatured from the front page??? i’m not wanting to be an ass about this, but am i the only one that thinks it’s at least kinda fucked to unfeature a user (one that i might add that doesn’t get much attention on-site) just to feature a staff member or contributor that will get more traction just solely based on that factor alone??? maybe i’m being a lil tooooo pissy about it since i’m a user myself and have had to deal with a similar situation before, but considering users make up at least 50% of the decent writing contributions to the site, going out of the way to unfeature a user that is by FAR more than deserving of a spot on the front page just to be given to ALL higher-ups that have been featured on more than plentiful occasions. i’m sure there was no ill will behind that decision (or at least i would hope) but removing features from the front page for seemingly not much of a reason seems kind of fucked in my eyes. and of course i have nothing against to those that ARE featured right now, i’ve read all four of the reviews and they are lovely reviews all respectively, but to whichever mod that did make that decision, could you at least explain why??? i hope there was at least a legitimate reason
